Jesus. Name above all names

Jesu, Jesu, Jesu, esto mihi Jesus! (Jesus, Jesus,Jesus, be to me a Jesus - Saviour).
Save me from my self, so that I may become Thee, for the more of myself is the less of Thee. Divine Infant, grow, increase and let me decrease until I disappear and You remain.
May this new year  be an instrument of growth in holiness.
One week ago You came. When your Parents were seeking a place for Your Birth, I offered my heart as Your Manger. You accepted and reposed in me at Holy Communion.
But unlike the hastening Shepherds I was lukewarm. Unlike the Wise gif-bearing Maggi I met you with no becoming gifts. Unlike the straw, the animals, the Angels, I fell short. Take my heart then, Lord, wretched, poor, broken, sinful and unfit, and make of it a fit abode, a Monstrance where You always dwell; that wheresoever I go, and whosoever I encounter, I will be a Christ bearer in every situation. I consecrate this day and this year to You, with all my family living and dead, and all my friends and all to whom I owe a just duty of prayer. Lord, there in my heart, You will find and bless all who I hold there. Amen.
